Founded in 1961as Schweitzer Bros. Construction Co. Incorporated as R. E. Schweitzer Construction Co. in 1970. Over 31 years of experience in Commercial Construction. Projects have ranged in size from 2000 square feet to 250,000 square feet in size. Projects completed have ranged from the Covington, Kentucky, Carroll Chimes Bell Tower in the Mainstrasse area to the Bridgetown Regional Library for the Cincinnati Public Library System. The library project was very challenging and unique architecturally. It had the largest copper roof ever installed in the Greater Cincinnati area. The Company is rather unique in that it performs more work with in house labor, than do most other firms. With our own forces we will usually do the following work: excavating, concrete work, carpentry work, underground utilities, and on some jobs, the heavy mechanical piping work, such as would be found on major pumping stations. Doing more work with our own forces, not only enhances our competitive position but provides better quality control and assists in the proper scheduling that is so important on most projects. Continuity is assured since the founder, Ron Schweitzer, has four sons working in the business with him. |
